Memories

remember the smile that you had, with the twinkle in your eyes,
I think of the airplanes and helicopters that you loved to fly.
Oh the stories and the jokes that you told,
Over and over again and the short long cuts that you drove.
How you loved us kids and mom,
Your smile was as bright as the sun.
The good times and the sad times that we had,
You where there trying to make things glad.
Up in the air you will be,
Flying your planes for all to see.
The joys and the sorrows,
For now, I cannot think of tomorrows.
For today, I will not say goodbye,
I think with a long sad sigh.
I do know that you will be sadly missed,
For this I love you, forever, with a kiss.
This is not goodbye, this is see you soon,
I love you dad, I'll love you all the ways to the moon.
