Memories
As summer fails us once again
Leaves changing colors of orange-red
Crisp mornings and sweaters adorn the skin
"Memories'! playing peacefully, surrounds my head
Children rise early
As alarms loudly ring
Mothers rushing them to their buses
Chirping birds proudly sing
What did you do over summer?
Teachers ask little ones
Swimming, vacation, maybe the zoo
Big family reunions
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day
A new year approaching fast
Never forgotten memories
Proclaim our treasured past
