Memories

Although his words cut me,
The memories dulled it.
Friendships faded;
Memories are all I have left to grasp,
For it was the memories I wanted.
Reality was reopening a wound,
And the memories the salt.
Never a good friend was he,
Blinded by the memories
I never saw the truth.
But now I see,
So, goodbye Dear Friend,
For it was the memories
That made me stay.
