Metropolis

The capital of a vacant heart is loneliness
There are many roads and streets that lead to this nest
When you arrive at the center of this metropolis
A feeling surprises you, like a sudden emptiness
The skies are plagued with an ever-raining effect
And the streets are empty showing signs of neglect
This place is damaged and in need of a rest
Displaying all the symptoms of fatigue and of stress
But...
There is a cure to a lonely heart
It lies within another living from afar
This city, healthy, has the means to restart
The badly broken and damaged pieces and parts
Like glue, two hands bond, fingers crossed like a star
Two eyes lock tight like an embrace from hugging arms
What love can do, is heal, the opposite of harm
The power of both good and bad, lies within our very own hearts
