Midnight Sonata

Maven I may not be in melody
Inept, in fact, apt to accept too quick
Dreaming of the day the spotlight's on me
No efforts made, though, I'm just a sick freak
In the end, it is but a fleeting dream
Goals I made never seem to be realized
Haven I find hallucinating gleam
The orchestrated show's me mesmerized
Showtime ended as I sit in silence
Only when curtain is called can Life hit
Needless to say, it's my self-indulgence
Although a futile dream I need to rid

Thus this midnight sonata continues
After all, it's my own; nothing to lose
