Midnight's Farewell

Transient shadows dragging at every step
While our somber solitude gleams with perspiration

Begging for more,
The gullible heart cackles at the
Whiteness you once called home

A regrettable third kiss, the silent stream, and, now?
A fixed, binding temperate

Desolate raptures float to nonexistence
As these internal wounds glisten

Is innocence a fad?
Opening your eyes,
Irregular normalcy

The past begins to creep towards today, this day, this time
Fingers detached, lips apart
