Midsummer Moments
In canoe we float;
We pass by the grassy knolls -
Gently rocks the boat.
Muted shades of green…
A backdrop for your splendor,
Butterfly is seen.
Amidst purple hues
He flutters on fragrant breeze…
Metamorphosis.
A fork in the bend
Like a languid, blue highway;
Exit to Eden.
By the stream, we walk…
Midsummer’s day a delight;
Of nothing we talk.
Holding hands, we kiss;
This one moment we’ll hold dear…
Happiness is bliss.
Eve is drawing nigh;
Back to the canoe we go -
Twilight paints the sky.
In canoe we float;
Pass again the grassy knolls -
Gently rocks the boat.
We pass by the grassy knolls -
Gently rocks the boat.
Muted shades of green…
A backdrop for your splendor,
Butterfly is seen.
Amidst purple hues
He flutters on fragrant breeze…
Metamorphosis.
A fork in the bend
Like a languid, blue highway;
Exit to Eden.
By the stream, we walk…
Midsummer’s day a delight;
Of nothing we talk.
Holding hands, we kiss;
This one moment we’ll hold dear…
Happiness is bliss.
Eve is drawing nigh;
Back to the canoe we go -
Twilight paints the sky.
In canoe we float;
Pass again the grassy knolls -
Gently rocks the boat.
