Other lips have touched yours in tenderness,
as mine have also been touched.
And other arms have held you in sweet embrace,
as I too have been held.
But it matters not, for in my eyes and in my love for you
we are both born again.
When I hold you close and linger in the gentle scent
of your being I see no one before us or after.
I envision only you and I, two loving souls on the brink
of a new beginning.
I know no more than you what mystery of life drew
Nor why at the passing of each day into night and
back again that bond is strengthened.
But as the sunrise passes into obscurity and the moon
sails into it's nightly abyss,
The tendrils of our affection are softly and lovingly
entwining two hearts into ONE.
