Mina

By

Everything felt so abrupt
Until you stare at the images
Of the past
The subtle clues are so glaring
So obvious, so there, up until the last
Every resource and beyond was used
Trying fix the unknown
Trying to make you better
Trying to bring you back home
If love could have healed
You would be with us today
So now we hold on tightly
To every penguin that watched us
To imprints left in bathroom beds
To empty red blankets
As you song plays on repeat in our heads
I love you my peanut
My brave little girl
You will always be us
You furever changed our worlds
