Miraculous Rebirth

A mucus covered embryo
coming from your flesh.
Cracking through the surface
my blood coated skin.
Bony fingers reach.
Struggling amidst the fight
pushing, grasping, clawing
my head out to regain sight.
As I do and knobby elbows
charley horse your side.
Silently your screams
of anguish turns to delight.
In the moment of attainment,
I have freed my slimy body,
to once again believe:
That nothing's ever holy.
