Mirrors

Mirrors.
They surround me.
Everywhere I turn.
Mirrors.

I look in a mirror.
I don't see a person.
I see a broken shell.
Mirrors tell no lies.

I look in a different mirror.
Still, not a person.
This time a monster.
Mirrors tell no lies.

I turn to another mirror.
Again, no person.
Now I see a heart with no purpose.
Mirrors tell no lies.

I face one more mirror.
No person to be found.
This time I see nothing.
Mirrors tell no lies.

Mirrors.
They surround me.
Everywhere I turn.
Mirrors.
