Misguided Black Child

Another black child misguided
Just another generation
Seeking validation
In a world where no one sees us as equal
Where we are beaten
To get the acknowledgement and recognition
Because we are black people
We speak not what you want to hear but what you need to hear
For the generations before us and to make a change for the generations after us
Stand up
It’s us
The misguided black child
Screaming for help
Can anyone hear us
Can you see us
We want to be heard
It’s so absurd
That over a 100 years later
We’re still fighting the same fight
But this time we will destroy everything to make it almost right
