When you were here
I wasn’t there.
Now you’re a ghost,
Here but not here.
I still feel your presence
In and out of the house.
I needed more time
But none was given.
I never saw your highest jump,
Your big toothy smile i heard from the rumors
of the house.
The only thing I saw was the color of your fur.
I wonder if you were still here,
Would you keep trying or give up
To get my attention?
I now realise
I cared for you,
More than i could imagine.
Whatever you were,
I realize I needed you the most.
