Missing Factor
Losing heart
At the throw of the dice,
Miles apart
From paradise,
Second-best
Is what I'm betting for,
Tired of the test
My ex was heading for,
Damaged goods
With a silent alarm,
Switching moods -
The third time's the charm,
Or the fourth, or the fifth,
One shot will win
Before my luck shifts
And the stakes dig in.
At the throw of the dice,
Miles apart
From paradise,
Second-best
Is what I'm betting for,
Tired of the test
My ex was heading for,
Damaged goods
With a silent alarm,
Switching moods -
The third time's the charm,
Or the fourth, or the fifth,
One shot will win
Before my luck shifts
And the stakes dig in.
