Mission Statement

I want home
I don't want to be alone
I want to be strong
And I want to sing songs at the top of my lungs
I want to love and be loved
And I desperately want to watch good movies,
listen to good music,
dance, have fun and strive for the best
But not to compare myself with all the rest
Just to be grateful for what I have and what I can be
To always see the best in people even when they see the worst
To put myself first
And broaden my horizons while not forgetting my roots
To step into others shoes and to wear down the soles of my boots
I want to love each freckle, sigh and soft laugh on me and you,
and everyone in between
To not forget my past but never let it intervene with
My hopes for the future and my chance to be me
I want to graduate, get a job, get married,
pop out a few kids, retire and pass on
But I want to let myself not be disappointed if those things,
don't happen according to plan
Because it's always darkest before the dawn
So I want to let go like fingers trying to hold onto sand
I want to live
I want to be worth it
I want to read this everyday until one morning I can wake up,
conquer, fulfil and believe it
