Mistake

Another door slams,
You scream at me again.
You remind me over and over
Of the life you could have had.
Your dreams that I ruined,
Your plans that were destroyed.
I am the constant reminder,
Your biggest mistake.
"What a pretty smile," they say.
"You're always so happy!" they exclaim.
They don't know the truth.
Deep inside I know that
I am the constant reminder,
Your biggest mistake.
