Mistakes

Mistakes made once
Mistakes made twice
But three times made,
I pay the price
The games we play
The things we say
Your actions speak
Aloud each day
Words meaning lost
Bring heavy cost
you speak of love
With fingers crossed
I am to blame
Made to feel shame
To you my pain
Is just a game.
I can’t believe
I can’t conceive
The one most dear
Lives to deceive.
And when I’m gone
And you’ve moved on
Will your next love
be your next pawn
Or will he take
Your heart to break
Its time you paid
For your mistakes
Mistakes made once
Mistakes made twice
But three times made
You pay the price.
