Mixture of a Mixture

Something I could not control, something from birth
Even with praise, I could never see my worth
My childhood was plain, then a year ago
Time does not moves fast now, instead, it moves slow
I was caused by the mixture of a mixture
Something I try to look for, something to find
What's better? The outside or the potent mind
Staring at that mirror, knowing they don't lie
I tuck in those big lips, everyday I try
I was caused by the mixture of a mixture
My mother unleashed concepts of hope and chance
You can do anything like writing or dance
Me, however, I think not because of now
You see the destruction on TV, just how
I mean, I was caused by the mixture of a mixture
Doing research, my mind is stuck in the past
Everyday, from the first death trap to the last
I can't believe kicking the bucket was worse
Maybe, compared to them, I don't have a curse
I was caused by the mixture of a mixture
Something I will tell you, something of my quirk
That made me become an introvert and jerk
In the old country of my mom, I compared
My skin, so dark in tan. At the pale, I stared
I was caused by the mixture of a mixture

This Poems Story

I am a writer of poetry, short stories, and screenplays and a desperate newbie in the world of stories. Hopefully I will be able to come up with tales that will enlighten and express my wit and personality, a personality you can understand in this poem. You must know that I am a mix of African-American and white, and I've always had a problem blending into a crowd. I wrote this oem to present my unique feelings about myself and subtly describe my beliefs with very few words, keeping it simple but bold.
