Modern Gods

We bow before technology
While staring at the silver screen
Machines now grant our every wish
Electrons pulsing in our dreams

Titanium replaces bone
Watch man create a brand new race
All of us now superhuman
Robotic arms reach out in space

The flesh is weak and won’t endure
They’ll replace us piece by piece
The human race will soon die out
Our souls cry out for sweet release

Remember this for future days
When humans walk the earth no more
The robots knew right from the start
The time had come for them to soar
