Mom

The first time ever I looked into your eyes
You took my new drawn breath away.
The first time you spoke to me of dreams
It was like the breath of an angel singing.
The first time you held me close in your arms
I was overcome with a sense of belonging.
The first time you softly caressed my new born skin
I was in awe of your guardian touch.
The first time you held me to your warm breast
I could feel your heart beat reaching out desires to me.
The first time you shared me with the my newfound world
Joy and pride flowed from you through my being.
All binding and entwining our souls
In those moments we became one single entity.
As I looked longing into your ageless eyes
I became entranced with what our destinies held.
So sing to me of your hopes and dreams.
Our past is our strongest connection to the future.
I admire your passion for love and life.
You are truly my first love.
I love you, Mom!
