Mom

Will it get easier with time?
Oh mom, do you ever hear me break down and cry?
I know you told me so
That to have dreams is the best for my soul

I speak to you at night
And reminisce about the times you held me tight
You tucked me in, and taught me to be polite
Oh mom, will I have another chance to make things right?

I remember you used to say
That there's no better day to live than today
Here I am, with my head in my hands
As I watch my tears dropping on my pants

Mom, I know that without you,
I will never be the same
So here I stand
With a broken heart, and your picture on my stand
