Mom To Be

Mother To Be
What is a mother I asked myself?
Only to know how to take care of my unborn child.
I imagined..Kissing your hand and feet..Hugging you tight to feel motherhood..Making you sleep in my arms singing lullabies.
There were so many things I was eager to know.
As you were inside me growing slowly,
How much will you weigh?
How tall will you be?
What color is your hair?
Will you even like me?
Will you resemble me or your Dad
Your dad and I
planned you from day one.
You, my dearest
were made straight from our souls.
You have been part of me since months i.e nine,
I’ll meet you soon for the very first time.
For you are the gift
of your dad’s love for me.
There will be no one like you I see,
We are both so excited
that you even exist.
The gender doesn’t matter as you’ll be hardest to resist.
Because, I can't wait to see you and adore your eyes.
I know I’m going to cry.
Don’t worry my darling,
those tears will be of joy.
It really doesn't matter if you are a girl or a boy.
