Moments

Moments do not blur by so fast I plead.
I know you to be remembered for life.
Selfish you are and you know it to be.
So please let me enjoy them one last time.
Unfair the time I get to remember.
When I lost the people I most cared for.
That cold long night of that last December.
When i lost the people i most cared for.
And the time that followed I mourned for more.
Then followed the time when the sun shone bright.
Another year has passed by in a blur.
Fast they flew by with a wink of an eye.
With I only remembering the turf.
Selfish you are and you know it to be.
Moments do not blur by so fast I plead.
