Momma

Momma, I weep because I miss you not because you died.
Death was a freedom after watching you cry.
I wouldn't change anything, you fought so hard.
You won a battle with your mind,
even though your body didn't make it in time.
You are the strongest soul I've ever seen and stubborn as can be,
but that's what made this fight for you
the most pleasant fight there could be.
You learned to laugh and play more stress free,
to see pass it all and just be.
Be in the moment with me.
You hugged more, kissed more and forgave more.
I wouldn't change your cancer at all really,
because I know cancer cured you and me.
