Monsters

Inside us each
We have something to preach
Maybe about beliefs
Or long lasting grieves

Perhaps about blames
Or something we've gained
Each of us trained
To hold onto our pain

We need not look
In every crevice or crook
To find that we've shook
Each other's own book

Searching for lies
Or something that hides
Something so snide
Or something we've tried

Our monsters begin
To come from within
Our trust bends
And shapes to an end
