Moon

I shine my brightest, alone, unseen.
Without the sun, my queen of queens.
Pale is my light, the light of loneliness, I shine it bright.
For the worrier, the stranger, all alone in the night.

Darkness gathers around me, I burn and I fight.
For my death, it does despair me, night after night.
My love has gone, my light of lights.
I am forever alone, forever lonely, burning brightly, palely, night after night.
