Moonbeams

It flies through the valleys,
It sails over seas,
It glimmers and shines,
It floats on the breeze.
It travels and travels,
On through the night,
It lights up the world,
With stunning pure light.
It hits the white beach,
Never once does it stop,
It bounces and sprints,
It rises and drops.
Its feet kiss the earth,
With the last of its light,
I draw up the curtain,
Goodnight moon, goodnight.
