Moonlight

I sat on the warm sand, looking at the ocean
my feet bare, my head burning from the sun
I picked up the sand, watching it in slow motion
as it fell through my fingers, in-between each one
My mind was calm, I listened to the sound
the water splashing by the shore
sounds of leaves blowing in my surround
I felt more relaxed then ever before
I lay back onto the sandy ground
A light blue sky stretched as far as the eye can see
the sun so bright it could light up the darkest night
I closed my eyes, this is where I want to be
I'll wait by the water until moonlight.
