Moonstruck

I leaned my head against the bus window
and felt it shake and rattle my whole
body it reminded me of you and the
way lightning could crack the night sky
and vanish as soon as it came. I guess
I was that dark blue night
sky and in a way I always thought you
would come back the way you did out of
nowhere like a blinding light with the
shadow of a crackle. The closer you
became the larger the crashes and the
more dangerous things became. I wait for
the rain to come but at the same time I
would rather stay in this drought forever.
