More Than Just Memories Of You
As I wonder down the road, I think back in time again.
The memory of you in my mind, still shines brightly within.
Why did I leave our true love? I guess I was a fool!
Otherwise, I'd have more, than just memories of you.
Memories of you, I still cherish to this day.
Memories of you, that never fade away!
If I wasn't such a fool, this I vow would be true,
I'd have more than just memories of you.
You always find away to creep into my mind.
You would think my memories would end sometime.
Your auburn hair, your smile, as you lay next to me.
Coming to torture my heart again, in fond memory.
Then the road it calls me, and again I journey on.
Seems like I'm always looking down the road beyond.
My heart is scarred with memories I carry, nothing erases that.
Memories of you, haunting my mind, no matter where I'm at.

Memories of my younger days....in your mind.....like stagnant water lies....with all your what if's?
