Morning
Morning
It's kept me up all night
It’s just too bright
Morning
When it’s time to control my mind
It’s the only thought I could find
With the open window
And blinding indigo
Morning
With my only choice
I can hardly find my voice
Just to say
This and pray
Morning
With the great heaps of light
Those rays itch and bite
These bed sheets are concrete
And these thoughts bite and eat
The things I have to look forward to
Are escaping me to continue this with you
Morning
You lying next to me
Is not what it used to be
I know what this is going to be
And it’s not what I want it to be
This morning
Is a mourning
I cannot keep going
With this as our final morning
It's kept me up all night
It’s just too bright
Morning
When it’s time to control my mind
It’s the only thought I could find
With the open window
And blinding indigo
Morning
With my only choice
I can hardly find my voice
Just to say
This and pray
Morning
With the great heaps of light
Those rays itch and bite
These bed sheets are concrete
And these thoughts bite and eat
The things I have to look forward to
Are escaping me to continue this with you
Morning
You lying next to me
Is not what it used to be
I know what this is going to be
And it’s not what I want it to be
This morning
Is a mourning
I cannot keep going
With this as our final morning
