Mother Earths Wrath

By

As I sit in my sacred circle
I watch the smoke as it flows into the valley
My heart sinks into my chest
My mind races as i feel the heat on my skin
The fires burn acres of land
Mother earth is angry
I feel her wrath as i sink my toes in the cold dirt
I lift my hands up
And beg her to spare my family
Save us from her wrath
Her flames engulf most of the land
Yet she spares my home
She heard my plea
I smile as she departs to the cosmos
It wasn't my time.
