Mother of My Nature

She is the fire in my heart,
keeping me warm, yet burning my soul.
She is the earth beneath my feet,
the earthquake that causes devastation.

She is the water I drink,
but slowly drown when I grow tired of swimming,
the air that knocks me off my feet
when I walk by.

She is my love,
and the things I need to survive,
yet she has the desire to destroy,
herself, my world.
