Mountain Quest

By

I hear the ocean touch the shore
It seems to say "I've come for more"
"I long to see a mountain top"
"Oh free me please, don't make me stop"

The ocean held inside a fence
A vision that does not make sense
But if the ocean is set free
Will it consume all it can see

Each day the oceans search the shores
An endless task as it explores
It seeks a pathway past the beach
It has a mountain top to reach

Saltwater chisels water speaks
Erosion eats the mountain peaks
