This girl of mine.
So kind, so fine
I love to wine and dine.
Her eyes. It's fly.
The look, she has me hook.
She cares. I fare.
Her touch is much,
It warms my arms.
Her words, so smooth it soothes.
This girl, she is incredible,
She's all the ables in the fables
That makes a man want to greet her before his fleet at the table.
I'll run miles to see her smile.
She's a farfetched catch that has me latched.
Damn right she's tight.
I'll use all my might, to win the fight
And get her sight
On me this night.

This Poems Story
I am just a man like any other, more importantly I am human with the same needs as any other. This poem was inspired by the need of love, connection, growth, contribution, and uncertainty, based on a friend I grew fond of after spending some time with. I grew to love everything about her, with gratitude and appreciation as my foundation. Although things didn't turn out as I hoped, there is no doubt that I'll remember my capacity of good emotions I felt, emotions that I once thought were impossible. For that I am grateful!
