Mulatto

Yellow boy , half breed that's what they say.
You talk white everyday. You fit in nowhere.
Trapped between two worlds.
Knowing neither accepts you.
They fight each other day after day.
You fight your own battles everyday within yourself.
Knowing you are too white to be black, and to black to be white.
This will be a lifelong battle of acceptance, that will never be won.
When i walk into stores they do stare,
it's just the polo shirt that takes off the glare.
