Muse
birch tree white wood stands
evening lights yellow leaves tapped
skylark's dark feathers sweet song bands
poppy kissed silver birch's eyes gaped
lake spanned a clear blue mirror
birthed by sky's not ever ceasing tears
golden ochre silken heaven flicker
as moonstone crested night smears
sunken seat beneath the birch my throne
ivy veins clamber on my still form
fading face forgotten bone
rest - gazing at constellations I adorn
together we are muses of forgotten love
birch tree, the lake, I and the setting sky above.
