My Apologies

I'm sorry I never knew how to use you
And I did stupid things in your name
So many times, I thought I found you
I thought you were the reason for everything
I've hurt you so much and for that I'm sorry
When I met a guy, I felt you dance
When I trusted people, I felt you do flips
So I figured you were telling me,
"It's totally fine! Go ahead. Love them. Trust them."
But instead you ere screaming,
"No, girl! Stop! These people are going to hurt us."
But I never knew that until now
This epiphany came a little too late
I've broken you, hurt you and weakened you
Scarred you for life
So I'm sorry
Sorry that I never knew how to use you
