My Apologies

You're optimistic but nevertheless, I stress
Happiness is less as my heart wilts in my chest
The worst becoming greater than the best
I must confess, I've no time for rest
Unless my soul separates from this subsisting sarcophagus
Wearily traveling through my throat, exiting my esophagus
I sincerely send my sympathies
To my friends turned enemies
Wicked words were wanton when wafted your way
Reckless and unintentional, I never meant for war
I just wanted to win the battle, with or without the gore
Win or lose, as long as I got my point across
Blasphemous mutiny, push me off the plank and onto the cross
My departure won't be a loss, you've everything to gain
I'm losing it, going back to being sane
I hope our friendship is something I can reclaim
Whether or not you feel the same, I give you my apologies
My anthologies of reparations for my devastations
I'm the reason everything went awry
All I can say is:I'm sorry.
