My Beginning

It's cold and suffocating;
I cried as loud as I could.

I didn't know that "outside" could be gleaming bright.
Before I noticed, I was crying as loud as I can.

Why does everyone look so glad?
I feel sad; this is unfair!
All I did was cry as loud as I could.

I feel empty and uncomfortable.
I'm not patient, so I cried as loud as I could.

Why are you crying?
You look sad, but you're smiling.
Are you happy?
I reached your cheek; I'm sorry.
My hands were too small to stop the trickling water from flooding.
