My Best Friend Fear

Fear can take over you
It can help
With its cold hands
Twisting to get to your heart
And tearing into your mind
Hiding underneath
It's disguised as normal
Fear can frighten you; it can cause you pain
Appearing everywhere
Taking over your life
Fear can be overcome
Fear should be afraid of you not the other way around
Fear o' fear you can't get to me
I put up my walls to shield out thee
You can tear them down
But it won't work
Fear will be there forever
Lurking in the shadows deep inside of you
It will reach the darkest parts
Fear expects you to be alarmed
But don't give into it

Someone once told me to unleash my inner Shakespeare, so I did. Thanks Mom and Dad.
