My Blessed Oasis

Here, I recline in your warm embrace
Here, I can feel your breath fall and rise
The calming and soothing hiss
Of the ocean waves against the silent beach

Here, I can dream like Luther
Nourish my soul with your seductive banter
Such warmth I have never felt
Since mama’s womb I slept

Here, my nights become a canvas
For my dreams to paint their portraits
Of love, chivalry and conquest
Here I can overcome any tempest

My Oasis, by morning’s light
Without your healing embrace
To shield me against my demons, this riot, I wilt
Alas, a rose without her grace.
