My Brightest Gem

My life was just a normal life
No change from just the norm
When all of a sudden joy filled my heart
When my baby sister was born.
She was so cute and soft
She was just like a rose
And all remarked on her beautiful  face
And her little adorable nose.
My sister never cried from dismay
But smiled and stayed full of joy
She never once disobeyed our parents
And never broke a toy.
We always had the best of times
And never were sad at all
Those were the best times of my life
We never hit a wall.
People never saw her frown
For she never was sad for her state
They never could say that she was down
And she didn't just blame fate.
For though she was bedridden from birth
And she never could walk or run
She trusted that this was her gift from Him
And she didn't let  it stop her fun.
The day my sister left us
My heart was ripped into a shred
For i couldn't forget  my little sister
Laying cold and still in bed.
And i know that if she were here
She would hug me and never let go
And i can never be as happy as i was then
For i loved my little  sister so.
