My Brown-Eyed Girl
My brown-eyed girl,
Where'd you go?
My brain starts to swirl,
I miss you so.
Climb upon my lap
While I strum a silly tune.
"Play it again!" you clap-
Bubbly laughter puts me on the moon.
"Daddy"-how those words melt my heart.
My pride and joy, don't leave; I'll fall apart.
Wrap those fragile arms around my neck.
My tender heart, you leave a darling wreck.
I hear the tires rolling, crunching on the pavement.
Is that your mother already?
I'll miss you so,
My brown-eyed girl.
