My Darling, My Dear

As I lay next to you in bed a chill runs down your spine,
Can you hear the whispers in the dark calling: my darling, my dear?
Come, hurry as the moon lights up the night,
I've seen too much I've lived too long
In a million years my heart beats along,
There you are and here I am;
Memories I can't forget keep twisting my soul,
I haven't seen myself in the mirror and you never could let go,
But you don't see me; though I stand before you,
My hand caressed your cheek and ruffled your hair,
You shivered to my touch, my darling, my dear.
