My Dear Father

Dear Father is that you I see
In the light of a picture of you and me
How we played monsters all day
When I tripped and cried, but you said it's okay
I'm grown with my child, she runs and plays
Watching her grow and feeling amazed

Here I go pops, I'm going to finish this house
I remember when mom screamed cause of the mouse
I hope I made you proud today
I found a dog he was a stray
Just like your dog spike, I miss him too
But your together in that big sky colored blue

Walk with me father in this dream I have of you
Knowing time well wake me, the hours are a few
Hold me daddy like a child in your arms
Be with me daddy, here comes the alarm's
Goodbye again daddy see you again
Praying to see you tonight, okay...amen
