My Dear Friend
My Dear Friend,
I am so very sorry that this is how it had to end.
I have regrets, believe me, I have made a few,
I just never thought that one would involve you.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of the hell that I had put you through.
My mind keeps bringing me back to that day, and now I know that there is no apology in the world that could make everything gone wrong, okay.
My heart breaks every time I hear your name and within every day that goes by,
I gladly take the blame.
But my soul, my soul aches in pain.
I tried to tell you and I tried to explain.
Each time I tried, you pushed me away.
And for that, I would have done the same.
We had known each other since we were nine or ten;
Somewhere along the line, like practical teenagers, we tend to veer off and broaden our horizons.
Till we meet again, old friend. For one day our hearts shall have to mend.
