My Dear Mother

Who can cast away a mother’s special treasure?
A love so endless, it’s useless to measure.
I have a love so precious and truly divine,
It keeps others wondering how it became mine.

But a love so precious is an invaluable gift.
She strengthens bad days and gives them a lift.
No one can compare to a mother of gold,
Who holds her child close when the world is cold.

Long life to mother, my continuing friend.
May our love continue to grow forever and again.
I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done.
But you mean more to me, than the rising of the sun.

So, long lives the woman who bears a child,
And makes them feel loved even with a smile.
You gave me a life to give onto another,
And no one is more precious than my dear mother.
