My Dearest Best Friend

We have been together for many years,
You and me.
You always knew how to make me feel so free.
Many memories we made,
Like Bonnie and Clyde.
I didn't need anyone else,
With you by my side.
With all the family and friends I lost,
It didn't matter to me,
I needed you at any cost.
As time has gone on with you,
All this guilt and shame has me feeling so blue.
I finally realize,
It's time for me to fly solo.
I know you will try to catch me,
Like a game of Marco Polo --
You won't win,
You won't succeed.
I am finally at peace,
And I am doing the good deed.
Cya, Sayonara, Adios,
My dearest best friend.
You and I are done,
