My Demons

Sometimes you roar
And you keep me far amore
I am in your cage forever
You beat me over and over
Until your limbs are tender
And you suddenly remember
You killed my name, to tame your brain
For you it was a beautiful hurricane
And for me it was a totally different terrain

It is dark, not that I don't love darkness
Frostbite on my lips, not that I don't love snowflakes
It is swampy, not that I don't love snakes

I won't lie, I like being here
Watching you stumbling through life
Stamping me down each time with meaningless strifes
I like this,
I like to see your pitiful attempts to achieve bliss
And fail everytime then return to your helix

How long are you planning to keep me locked in here?
Let me tell you something really interesting my dear
The more you suppress me, the more likes of me will sprout
The smoldering embers of my existence will never die out.
